The winning projects were announced in an online ceremony on Thursday 8 October 2020.

The My Place Awards recognise community-led built environment projects that have transformed their locality. The My Place Awards judge excellence in terms of design, community involvement and impact.

This year, 17 projects from across Scotland were nominated for the awards, with six being shortlisted. The winning project was Strontian Primary School; Bridgend Farmhouse in Lothian was highly commended for excellence in volunteering; and Falls of Shin was commended for excellence in community involvement.

Pete Campbell, Kyle of Sutherland Development Trust’s Chairperson said, “So many amazing projects from across Scotland were nominated and shortlisted so we are really pleased for our local community that Falls of Shin was the commended project in the ‘My Place Awards.”
