There is a small island in the Kyle of Sutherland where birds collect for meeting and a rest. Pictured here is a gaggle of Greylag geese, the largest breed of wild geese native to the British Isles. This species is one of the last to migrate, gaining them the name greylag, as they ‘lag’ behind the other migrating geese.
