At the beginning of November, in Bonar Bridge Community Hall, friends gathered to attend a celebration of lifelong learning to acknowledge the recent award of an Honorary Degree from Liverpool Hope University to local resident Valerie MacKenzie-Harris.

Valerie was awarded the Honorary Degree in recognition of the academic diligence demanded to attain a Certificate of Education from St Katherine’ College, Notre Dame and Christs College. Although she completed her course in 1963. . .
