If you were walking through the Gearrchoille in October it would have been difficult to miss the number of acorns on the trees and on the paths a very good year for jays and squirrels. Some of our volunteers took advantage of this and collected several baskets full. We worked with Kyle of Sutherland Rivers Trust to sow acorns in root trainers which will be grown in the local tree nursery. We had two sowing sessions first in the wood organised. . .
