Gearrchoille Community Wood update

In the South West corner of Gearrchoille Wood – among the least visited area of the wood – there are a number of hazel bushes. These have shown little sign of regeneration over the years, so we have decided to coppice several of these to get new growth which might in time provide more nuts and some seedlings (if the squirrels and mice don’t eat them all!).
