Ardgay Stores & Highland Cafe, unofficially ‘Ardgay Shop’, opened its doors for the first time in December 2013, at a time when there were very few businesses in Ardgay village. During the last decade, they had to rise to several challenges, such as serving customers during the Covid lockdown or, more recently, keeping the place open during last winter’s spell of heavy snow. Their friendly service -sometimes stocking items on request-, alongside their open every day policy have seen their customer numbers grow steadily from the early beginnings when Holly and Adam moved north to start the business.
