Thursday 6 June marks the 80th anniversary of D Day, the largest naval, air and land operation in history. To mark this there will be National commemorations across the UK. In Sutherland, the East Sutherland Rescue Association (ESRA) has very kindly taken up the lead with a ceremony at the Cadogan Lifeboat Station where, amongst other activities, a “lamp of peace” will be lit.
