Four out of five Ardgay & District Community Councillors resigned in February, with only one Councillor remaining, Samantha Kane. As a result of the resignations the CC ceased to be quorate and went into abeyance until the next round of interim CC elections, due to be held in autumn 2024. At the interim election, the single remaining Community Councillor (Samantha Kane) will be automatically elected, and seven places will be open for nominations. Being in abeyance means that the Community Council cannot meet, cannot make any decisions and the remaining Community Councillor cannot speak on behalf of or otherwise represent. . .
