The controversial project Coul Links was initially given a go-ahead from Highland Councillors last year, but later called in by Scottish Ministers for further scrutiny. After careful consideration, the Scottish Government has now refused planning permission stating that “the likely detriment to natural heritage is not outweighed by the socio-economic benefits of the proposal”.
