The Queen’s Green Canopy is a unique tree planting initiative created to mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022 which invites people from across the UK to “Plant a Tree for the Jubilee”. Christine Mackay, Deputy Lieutenant of Sutherland has been in discussions with Ardgay & District and Creich community councils as well as Kyle of Sutherland Development Trust to present the project and so far the initiative has been very warmly welcomed, with the involvement of schools and community groups. . .
