After an 18 months closure due to Covid lockdowns, Rosehall Village Hall was delighted to re-open its doors in September to a sell-out concert of the Budapest Cafe Orchestra.
The committee had completed a detailed Covid risk assessment and implemented a range of measures to allow the event to run, and 65 people enjoyed this event in safety. The hall is a vital hub in the village and the committee felt that the community was starting on the long path to normality and needed to have things to look forward to and enjoy. With that in mind they have launched a fundraising Grand Raffle and Bottle draw to help raise funds for the hall and its forthcoming events. Tickets are £1 each and the top prizes are: 1st prize, £250; 2nd prize, a day’s salmon fishing for one; 3rd prize, a case of wine; 4th prize, a guided wildlife tour and afternoon tea for two. In addition, there are a range of other prizes including vouchers from The Pier, Hair at the Barn, the Hub and many more, as well as a huge selection of bottles. The raffle will be drawn at the Village Hall’s Hogmanay party on the 31st December. Tickets can be bought from Invercassley Stores in Rosehall, Hair at the Barn in Ardgay, and The Rusty Coo in Lairg. Tickets can also be bought by calling Tracey Smith on 01549 475 080 (card payments). The next event taking place at Rosehall Village Hall is a “Twixmas” Quiz on the 28th December, more details on what’s on article.
