As a start of this year’s Christmas celebrations we will be holding a candlelight service at 11:30 pm on Christmas Eve
It is good to be able to say that the Kincardine church (Ardgay) is open again for services every Sunday at 11am with Rev Darwin Smith (our Locum) taking services on the first and third Sundays of the month. On the other Sundays we have the pleasure of welcoming other preachers and members of our worship team to lead worship.
While we are still constrained by what we can do under Covid regulations, we had a very successful fund-raising day thanks to Christine who hosted an outside Craft and Cake event. Thanks to everyone who came along and supported us when even the weather cooperated.
It has been a while since we’ve had a late service on Christmas Eve to welcome the birth of Jesus who, after all, is the reason we have Christmas. We have been asked to hold one this year and will do that. That means there should be no problem with restricted numbers that could be a problem with holding a joint service at Creich. For many years this service was an important part of our community life and was well supported. We hope that we can revive this tradition so please come along and enjoy being together on this special start to Christmas celebrations. It will be a candlelight service as in the past and begin at 11.30. We hope you will have a blessed Christmas day when there will be no service and then come along on Sunday which is Boxing Day. Beginning at 11am (so there will be time to get the turkey on to cook!) it will be a family service and we’d love it if you would bring along something Santa has brought to show.
We all wish you and your loved ones every blessing over the Christmas season.
